Wynroy is Winifred and Roy, put together. Jay never met his grandparents. The studio is how he keeps them in the room — and how other families get an hour that belongs to them.

Why it matters on the mat
Heat, focus, and a proper workout are still the point. The name is the reminder: strength is something you inherit, then hand on. You do not need our surname to belong here.
The story
A father, a farm sign, and a name that travelled.
The family was Gardham before it was Gardam. For generations they lived at Low Gardham Farm, near Beverley in Yorkshire. Stephen George Gardham and Ann Leggott were the first of the line to settle in Australia, in Tasmania.

Jay and his father Rod went back together. The sign is still on the stone wall. That visit is the photograph on this page for a reason: Wynroy looks backward only so it can keep moving.
Mum, Deb, is the other half of the founding story. Not a plaque. The resilience Jay watched up close, and the reason the room is filled with warmth and passion.
Family is the name on the door.
Win and Roy never saw Prospect. They are still why the studio exists. Once a year we open the doors in their honour.
Passed down, then practised.
Hot Vinyasa is the work. Options in every class, so a first-timer and a five-year regular can share a row. Strength here is repeatable, not performative.
Bring your people.
Partners book the same class. Friends drag friends. Parents take the hour that is finally theirs. Teachers learn your name.
The room, now
Your family does not have to match ours.

Family-orientated here means looked after, not watered down. The heat is real. Counting is questionable, on purpose. Beginners walk in every week and are cued an option before they have to ask.

Winifred and Roy married on 11 March 1936. We mark it the first Saturday after that date: doors open, the photograph out, the room full of people who have become the next part of the story.
Come for the class. Stay because it feels like somewhere you were expected.
