Frequently Asked Questions

At Wynroy Hot Yoga, we know stepping into a new studio can feel exciting (and maybe even a little daunting). Our goal is to make sure you feel comfortable, supported, and inspired from the moment you arrive. Whether you’re brand-new to yoga or have been practicing for years, this is your place to move, sweat, and connect with a community that feels like family.

What should I expect at my first class?

Your first visit will be warm and welcoming. It’s normal to feel a little nervous, and your first class will likely feel like your most challenging—but we promise you’ll be looked after. Please arrive 10 minutes before class begins so you can settle in. Our instructors are friendly, and our community is too! You’ll quickly feel at home at Wynroy Hot Yoga.

Why is the room heated?

Our infrared heating system uses technology also found in the medical industry. The heat assists with:

  • Muscle repair and recovery

  • Increased blood flow

  • Flushing toxins from the body

  • Speeding up digestion

  • Regeneration of cells

  • Greater flexibility

It can also help tighten skin, improve complexion, and assist with weight loss. Most importantly, it challenges the mind, helping you switch off, reduce stress, and find calm.

How do I book into a class?

Booking is easy! Simply book through our website, or use the MindBody Online app. Booking ahead is the best way to secure your spot, as some of our classes do reach capacity.

How do I attend a class that is waitlisted?

If a class you want is waitlisted, add yourself anyway. Cancellations are common closer to class time, and if you get in, you’ll receive an SMS confirmation letting you know you have a spot.

What should I bring to class?

We recommend bringing:

  • A yoga mat (not a thick gym or camping mat, as these slide in a heated room)

  • A large towel

  • Water

We do have yoga mats available for purchase, however, we do not hire mats for hygiene reasons.

When should I arrive?

If it’s your first time, please arrive 10–15 minutes before class to meet your teacher, explore the space, and get comfortable.

Do you have parking?

Yes, we have onsite parking plus plenty of street parking nearby. Please note that on some afternoons there may be restrictions on the side closest to the studio between 4:30–6:00 pm, but the opposite side is always available.

Where should I set up my mat?

For your first few classes, we recommend setting up in the middle or back rows so you can observe the teacher and other students. (Tip: the middle row tends to be the hottest part of the room!)

What happens if I’m running late?

Once the studio door is closed, class has already started and unfortunately, you won’t be able to enter. We lock the door to ensure safety, security, and the best experience for everyone. Please always plan to arrive on time.

Can we talk during class?

We love when friends join together, but once you step into the studio, it’s a quiet space. Please be mindful of those already in the room preparing. We have a welcoming community area outside the hot room where you can connect and chat before or after class.

What if I’m new to yoga?

Perfect! Many of our members began right where you are now. Our classes are designed to be inclusive and adaptable, and our teachers will guide you every step of the way. Remember, yoga is a practice, not a performance—take breaks, listen to your body, and enjoy the journey.

What if I have an injury?

Please let your teacher know before class so they’re aware and can offer modifications. Listen to your body, move mindfully, and modify or skip any poses as needed. You’re always welcome to take it at your own pace—your safety is our priority.

What if I feel nauseous or too hot in class?

Don’t panic—this is common in heated yoga. Simply lie down on your mat in savasana. This allows blood flow to return to your head and gives your body a chance to recalibrate. Take as many rest breaks as you need, and when you feel ready, gently rejoin the class.

For your own safety, please do not leave the heated room during class. Stepping into cooler air suddenly can make nausea or dizziness worse. Staying on your mat is always the safest option.
